The role of ambassador
About Us » The role of ambassador
Ambassador is the highest ranking diplomat who represents a nation and is usually accredited to a foreign sovereign or government, or to an international organization. Ambassador is also often used more liberally for persons who are known, without national appointment, to represent certain professions, activities and fields of endeavor.
Bill Davis became ongoing Ambassador for Verwood Town Chamber in 2009, after serving 4 years as Chairman. His role provides continuity and consultancy for the Chamber and he sits on the committee. Bill attends meetings in a wide area of interest to Chamber and also meets with other Chamber Presidents and Dorset Business to exchange ideas. Bill is always keen to meet and greet new members and promotes the Chamber with warm enthusiasm!
In 2005 Bill was tasked with recreating a Chamber of Trade for Verwood; to represent the interest of our traders and community.
Verwood is rightly proud to now have a very active Town Chamber, thanks to a great team of volunteers, which represent across a wide range of businesses.
Last but not least the Ambassador role is there to promote in great customer service, which let’s face it is at the very heart of all good transactions!
